My cousins challenged me to preach a Sunday homily in less than one hundred words.
I have three words for you:
peace,
mission,
mercy.
Peace be with you.
As the Father sent me, so I send you.
Forgive in my name.
The Risen Jesus gives us his peace. He shares with us his mission. He shows mercy to us so that we can show mercy.
It is as simple as that: peace, mission, mercy.
The magi brought gold, frankincense, and myrrh to the baby Jesus.
As disciples of the Risen Jesus, we bring the world peace, mission and mercy.
